In the clip, a 14-year-old Jemma, brimming with teenage confidence, is seen outside HMV in Chester, boldly sharing her phone number with none other than Robbie Williams. Fast forward 35 years, and the Angels singer finally responded—posting a video on Instagram attempting to call her. The clip has since racked up over 3.3 million views, turning Jemma into an overnight sensation.
And this is the part most people miss: Jemma’s viral moment wasn’t just about a missed call. It was about the power of nostalgia and the unexpected ways our past can resurface. She was alerted to her appearance in the documentary by a friend, sparking a chain of events that included magazine features, a BBC Radio interview with Scott Mills, and even a spot on Good Morning Britain. As she put it, the past week has been ‘mental,’ juggling her teaching job with sudden fame. ‘I’m still getting comments and messages, and it’s all been so positive,’ she said.
