Haim Mendelson came to New York from Poland when he was three years old.  When he was twelve, he made a simple decision to be an artist; since then he has worked continuously reflecting his life in art.

Exhibitions:  He has had 18 one-man shows since 1954

Group Exhibitions:  Museum of Modern Art; Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts; Butler Institute of American Art; Berlin Academy of fine Art, etc.

Permanent Collections:  Flint Institute of Arts; Minnesota Museum of Art; Griffiths Art Center; Edwin A. Ulrich Museum; Joe and Emily Lowe Foundation.

Awards Include:  Florsheim Foundation Grant 1999; Audubon Artist 1996; Bienalle Malta 1995; Painters and Sculptors Society 1985, 1974, 1968; Dr. Maury Leibovitz Special Merit Award (Artist Equity) 1987; Purchase Award, St. Paul Art Center, 1966.
