Artist’s Statement:  I was born 11/4/17, schooled in Vienna, Austria, and came to live in the US in 1940.

Between 1950-2002 I exhibited in 21 solo shows and in a great many group shows, such as; the Whitney Museum, New York; the Carnegie Institute, PA; etc.

My paintings are in the permanent collections of the Museum of the City of NY, the NY Historical Society, the Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture, the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Museum, Rutgers University, NJ, and others.

I am an exhibiting member of NAWA, ASCA, and the Audubon Society.

Although I am a figurative painter, I do not work from “life”.  I paint whatever I feel and whatever moves me, concentrating on the human experience.
